We started Fornoza with a borrowed gazebo and second-hand tables. We now have a permanent kitchen inside Siren Craft Brew's taproom and a mobile unit doing markets and events across the south. We've built it properly: long fermentation, good ingredients, no shortcuts. We need someone to join the kitchen at Siren and help us keep growing.

The role

You'll be working shifts in the kitchen at Siren, taking on real responsibility during service and working directly alongside the founders. It's a small operation and we all get stuck in together. We're not precious about hierarchy but we do care deeply about the food.
We're not looking for someone who thinks they know it all. We want someone with solid pizza experience, a good attitude, and a genuine interest in doing things properly. There's a lot to learn here and that's part of the point.

Day to day

• Running shifts and keeping quality high at the pass
• Prep work: dough, toppings, sauces
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and food safe throughout service
• Stock, deliveries, waste
• Working with us on how the food develops over time

What we're looking for

• At least 1 year of kitchen experience, this is a must
• A good attitude and someone who's genuinely happy to learn
• Reliable, punctual, works well under pressure
• Takes food safety seriously: HACCP, allergens, temperature logs
• You'll need your own transport. Public transport to Siren is limited.

What you get

• £13.00 to £16.00/hr depending on experience, plus tips split fairly across the team. In practice tips add another £2 to £5 per hour on top.
• Staff food every shift
• The chance to develop your skills and grow with the business
• A good place to work, inside one of Berkshire's best craft beer taprooms

If you care about pizza and want to work somewhere that does too, get in touch.

Quality Brewer / Lab Technician

Location: Wokingham, Berkshire Role:
Full-time Level: Entry level / developing technical role

We’re looking for either a brewer or brewery professional ready to take the next step in their career and take ownership of quality across a busy, modern craft brewery, or a lab technician with a science or Biology background who is interested in beer and the brewing process.

This is an entry-level role in the Quality Team, initially focused on laboratory testing, quality control and supporting the brewing team, but with a clear opportunity to grow into the person responsible for the brewery’s entire quality programme.

You’ll work closely with the Head Brewer, Lead Brewer and production team to make sure our beers are consistently safe, high quality and tasting as they should.

What you'll be doing

· Carrying out routine laboratory and microbiological testing on wort, beer and packaged product.
· Monitoring fermentation, maturation and finished beer quality.
· Maintaining quality records, trends and specifications.
· Supporting brewery hygiene, CIP and environmental monitoring programmes.
· Investigating quality issues and helping identify root causes.
· Supporting raw material and supplier quality checks.
· Maintaining and developing our quality systems, SOPs and documentation.
· Working with the brewing and packaging teams to improve consistency and quality.
· Helping prepare for customer, retailer and certification audits.
· Developing and eventually leading the brewery’s quality programme.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in someone who:

· Has previous commercial brewing experience and understands how a brewery operates.
· Has a genuine interest in quality, microbiology and beer science.
· Is practical, organised and comfortable working independently.
· Has good attention to detail and enjoys finding out why something isn't right.
· Is confident communicating with brewers, production teams and management.
· Wants to develop their career beyond simply producing beer.

A formal brewing, science or biology qualification or extensive laboratory experience is not essential but will be very useful. A good understanding of the brewing process, curiosity and the desire to learn are more important.

The opportunity

This role is designed to grow with the right person.

You'll initially learn our processes and take responsibility for day-to-day laboratory and quality work. As your knowledge and experience develop, you'll take increasing ownership of quality systems, testing

programmes, brewery standards and technical projects, with the long-term aim of leading quality across the brewery.

If you're a brewer who is ready for their next challenge and wants to develop a career combining brewing, science, quality and technical leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
