July Newsletter 2024

We’ve all been feeling the heat at the brewery, and June saw some of our best releases of the year so far to keep us refreshed - have you tried them all? It’s that time again that we take a look back at the past month, as well as a rather large peek into July and key events that we have coming up.

Endure24: Reading & Leeds

Pouring at both events as the official beer provider, this marked our second year of bringing beer to the masses at the UKs biggest relay race. We’ve loved every second of Endure, and can’t wait for next year. We still have stock of ‘Lap It Up’ online, our collaboration Pale Ale with Endure24 - check it out through the link below!

Tap Yard Pride

On Saturday 29th June, we hosted a fantastic Pride event down at the Tap Yard; family friendly, and available for everyone to enjoy. We were pleased to have beer from Queer Brewing down on the day too, which went down a treat. For more information on future Tap Yard events, check out the link below or find Siren Tap Yard on social media.

Release Roundup

Playmaker - 3.4% Hazy Pale Ale

Whether you're glued to the TV screens this summer or hiding away from them, Playmaker Pale Ale is your best friend. Pink grapefruit, pineapple, and mango aromas burst out of the glass, with a soft, easy-drinking mouthfeel and gentle pithy bitterness.

Sportsball - 4.5% Kolsch-Style Lager

A traditional Kölsch yeast meets all German hops in this box office beer. The result is super clean, lightly fruity and pleasingly floral as our enthusiastic yeast goes to work accentuating the delicately bitter hops. Crisp, refreshing and plenty drinkable.

Out of Nowhere - 0.5% Low Alcohol West Coast Pils

West Coast Pilsners are all about clean, crisp drinking with snappy bitterness. In collaboration with no/low heroes Mash Gang, this beer aims to achieve just that, with the added benefit of also being just 0.5%. Taking a traditional German lager base, we use Citra, Idaho7 and Nelson Sauvin in the dry hop for fruit cocktail aromas of pineapple, peach and white grape.

The Flying Circus - 4.5% West Coast Pale Ale

It's a little nod to the old school here with the 'C Hop' quintet - Citra, Columbus, Centennial, Cascade and Chinook. The beer takes a hint of colour and flavour with a subtle addition of Crystal Rye, adding character to an otherwise clean and crisp base. A classic, refreshing pale ale.

Expressions: Citra - 5.2% DDH IPA

Our 'Expressions' beers are soft IPAs made to tell the story of an individual hop. Idaho 7 has only been around for 8 years, but has made a big impression in that time. Named after its home state, we love its piney, tropical, fruity and floral aromas.

Idea Machine - 6.5% NEIPA

Dok Brewing is one of the most exciting up-and-coming breweries in Europe, with a must-visit brewery and tap room in Ghent, Belgium. We both love to work on an eclectic mix of styles, but here we're going super hazy, super light colour, super soft body and an absolute saturation of hops. Santé!

Second Serve - 5% Strawberries & Cream Sour

We made a sour beer popping with beautiful strawberry aromas, so decided to double down and bring you strawberries & cream in a can. The tart base contrasts with ripe strawberry purée, enriched with creamy lactose and a touch of Madagascan vanilla.

Wiper And True x Siren: Prism - 5.8% West Coast Pilsner

Wiper and True are proud to share a collaboration with long-time legends of the craft beer game: Siren. Our teams wanted to brew a beer that’s as satisfying to drink as it is delicious, and so set out to design the ultimate West Coast Pilsner. The recipe design blends the full, balanced malt flavours of a great pilsner with crisp, satisfying hop bitterness that adds notes of pine needle and citrus. The finished beer is moreish, smooth, and very rewarding.
